How Orbit TV handles information collected through our review desk, contact forms and analytics. This page explains what we store, why we store it, and how you can ask us to remove or correct it.
When you email us about a device test or fill out a contact form, we receive your name, email address, phone number if you provide it, and the message itself. We also log basic technical details: browser type, device model, approximate location from IP, and which pages you opened.
Analytics events track page views, scroll depth and outbound link clicks. We do not record keystrokes, screen contents or anything you type outside our own forms.
We use first-party cookies to keep the site working and to remember your cookie choice. Analytics cookies help us see which reviews get read and which device guides get skipped. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
We do not run advertising cookies, retargeting pixels or cross-site trackers on this site.
Contact details are used to reply to your message, arrange a device test, or send a follow-up if you asked for one. Technical and analytics data help us fix broken pages, improve load times and decide which streaming services to test next.
We keep form submissions for as long as needed to handle your request, then archive or delete them. Analytics data is retained in aggregate form.
We share data only with service providers that keep the site running: our hosting provider, email delivery service and analytics platform. These processors act on our instructions and are bound by their own privacy terms.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share your contact details with streaming platforms, retailers or decoder sellers we write about.
You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, delete your data, or send it to you in a portable format. You can also withdraw consent for analytics at any time by clearing cookies or contacting us.
If you are in the EU or California, you have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA, including the right to object to processing and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We honour these requests regardless of where you live.
Orbit TV publishes hands-on test results and opinion. We do not invent endorsements, fake urgency, fake brand partnerships or guaranteed outcomes. Where a review is based on a single unit or a short test period, we say so in the article.
If you believe something on this site is inaccurate or misleading, email us and we will review it.
